WIE/AWG-PNW South Sound Networking and Education Event - 10.26.17

We are excited to announce the first Women in Environment (WIE)/Association of Women Geoscientists Pacific NW Chapter (AWG-PNW) Networking/Education South Sound event. For the Education portion of the event we are pleased to have the 2017 Birdsall-Dreiss Distinguished Lecture: Dr. Ed Harvey, Chief of the U.S National Park Service Water Resources Division. The title of his talk is Water Resource Stewardship in the U.S. National Park Service. You can find an abstract of his talk here. We are truly honored to have this nationally recognized distinguished lecturer come to our first South Sound event. Following the lecture, we will have a Networking event. While the Education portion of the event will be capped at 60 people, the Networking portion will be opened up to additional attendees. RSVPs for the full event (Education+Networking) come with drink tickets.

Schedule Details:

5:00 to 5:30 PM Registration

5:30 to 6:30 PM Lecture

6:30 to 7:30 PM Networking/Food and Drinks

Location Information: The Social Bar and Grill is located at 1715 Dock Street, Tacoma, WA 98402.

Free parking is available in the parking garage underneath the restaurant (look for parking spaces designated for The Social Bar and Grill). Paid parking is available on Dock Street or in the parking garage at the Museum of Glass (just down the street).
