Seattle Autumn Education Event - 11.07.18

Skills for Succeeding in a Male Dominated Industry

Pursuit of a professional career is a balancing of professional responsibilities and goals with personal duties and interests. As working women in male dominated industries, there is a unique pressure to perform under a set of ambiguous rules.

Join Seattle Women In Environment (WIE) and the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) as we discuss and learn “Skills for Succeeding in a Male Dominated Industry” presented by Kela Hall of the KD Hall Communications. Ms. Hall is a leader in workforce development, women’s initiatives and co-founder of KD Hall Communications and the Women on the Rise Leadership Conference which addresses equity for women in the workplace.

Ms. Hall will lead a discussion on developing skills for having difficult conversations at work. Topics will range from learning skills to negotiate pay raises, flex time schedules and navigate sexual harassment to effective leadership skills such as providing constructive criticism and mentoring other women in the workforce.

Please join us for this interesting and insightful conversation! RSVP here
