Portland Professional Development Event, Plot Your Career Path – Thursday 02.23.17

The Women in Environment (WIE) professional development committee and the women of HDR and Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt invite you to join us for a career planning workshop, Plot Your Path With The Career Advancement Compass, led by Yvonne Chang. Yvonne is a Radiant Power Leadership coach, consultant, and trainer in the interconnected fields of leadership, human development, eco-psychology and social sustainability. This Krista Koehl professional development event is the first of a three part series for 2017 that revolve around the theme of career planning.

Are you feeling stuck or uncertain about next steps in your career?

In this workshop you will learn how to use a practical tool, the Career Advancement Compass, to help pinpoint where you need to go and steer your career towards more satisfying work and success. Participants will learn when and where to concentrate their energies to move forward professionally. This workshop will guide attendees through quadrants of career planning that look from inside to outside and from upside to downside. The workshop provides some time to apply this tool to their current situations and participants will leave with a sense of next steps.

Yvonne is the lead trainer and consultant at the Leadership Development Program for the City of Portland’s Diverse & Empowered Employees of Portland (DEEP) and heads up a new initiative, “Women of Color Empowerment Series.” Her full bio is available on her website: http://www.yvonnechang.com/.

Lunch will be provided thanks to our generous event sponsors, Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt and HDR.
